Nursing Mother Abandons Two Months Old Baby In Onitsha Motor Park (Video)

A yet to be identified nursing mother whose whereabouts is unknown, has abandoned her two months old baby in Libra Motors Park At Onitsha Overhead bridge in Anambra State.

According to a statement signed by Activist  Gwamnishu Emefiena Harrison, the Director-General of Behind Bars Initiative, who swung into action after receiving a distress call, the 2months old baby has being handed over to the Divisional Police Station in Onitsha for investigation.

He wrote;

2 MONTHS OLD BABY ABANDONED BY MOTHER IN ONITSHA HEAD BRIDGE.

Today, Bebind Bars Human Right Foundation received a distress call from a member about an abandoned 2 months old baby in Libra Motors at Onitsha head bridge. We quickly travelled down there for prompt intervention.

We took the baby to Divisional Police Station, head bridge, Onitsha, where the matter is being investigated.

BBI Nigeria also reached out to appropriate authorities and hopes that they will come pick up the baby for proper welfare.

We are also trying to make contact with the numbers found in a bag perceived to be the mother’s bag.
