Ongoing registration of APC members in Zamfara, violation of Court’s order – Scribe
The Zamfara state’s APC caretaker Secretary, Alhaji Sani Musa Mafara has described the ongoing registration of APC members in the state as a great mistake which will hinder the chance of the party to win the 2023 general elections.
In a statement, Alhaji Sani Musa said, the ongoing registration of party members on the authority of Governor Bello Matawalle was nothing but an evil wind that would further create serious crises in the party which would at the end mar the chances of the party to win the 2023 general elections.
Alhaji Sani said that, the recent statement by Senator Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura where he condemned the old register of members of the party as a gracious mistake and an attempt to plant disaffection between members of the party and finally for his selfish agenda.
He said, “The APC in Zamfara state under the leadership of former Governor Alhaji Abdul Aziz Yari has listened to the statement of the former Governor of the state, Alhaji Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura where he said that the old register of the party members has been notified”.
‘The party under the leadership of Hon. Lawal M. Liman (Gabdon Kaura) is not surprised to hear this comment from the former Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Sani considering his ill motives of disuniting the members of the party for his personal aggrandizement”.
“Our leader, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Yari has explained on many occasions that all those who have revalidated their membership cards will not register again because their membership cards are the most authenticated ones”.

Alhaji Sani Musa said, the current registration of members going on in the state was illegal and Court’s contempt, stressing that, the Federal High Court in Gusau has ruled that the two factional groups should suspend all their activities including the current ongoing registration until after the judgement.
‘But to our dismay, some people who have hidden agenda like Senator Yarima have ignored the Court order and went ahead with the registration of members of the party not knowing that they are only wasting their time”.
“Based on this, we find it necessary to draw the attention of our teeming 775,000 members who have since revalidated their membership cards in 2516 piling units in 147 wards iof 14 local governments to disregard Senator Yarima’s claims”.
“This is because you cannot register twice as you All know that our party is always respecting the rules of Law”.
“I want to appeal to our teeming members and supporters to be careful with those bad politicians who are out to trade with our party for their selfish interest at the detriment of our dear party”.
“We understand that, Senator Yarima’s ambition is to destabilize the APC in the state as what transpired in 2023 where he (Yarima) played a major role in disuniting members of the party”.
Alhaji sani Musa concluded that, Senator Yarima used the 2019 APC crises to be collecting money from the aggrieved members of the party and be visiting his wives abroad.
