Peter Obi Congratulates Dr Ijeoma Akunyili On Her US Appointment
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party has congratulated Dr Ijeoma Akunyili, the daughter of the great Prof Dora Akunyili who was the Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control of Nigeria from 2001 to 2008.
Obi used his official twitter handle to felicitate with her. His post read
I sincerely congratulate my dear sister, Dr. Ije Akunyili, on being the first Nigerian to be appointed as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in the USA. Such shows that nothing is intrinsically wrong with Nigerians.
We only need the right environment for our people to achieve their fullest potentials. Let’s take back our country. -PO
