NMA, health workers differ as FG plans ban on unvaccinated workers
• Workers must be vaccinated or present negative test as from December 1 – FG
• Available vaccine doses not sufficient, barring workers insensitive, says JOHESU
The Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, has said Federal Government workers without proof of COVID-19 vaccination or test results done within 72 hours will be denied access to their offices starting from December 1.
Mustapha, who spoke at the committee briefing on Wednesday in Abuja, said the directive would be applicable in all locations in Nigeria and missions, adding that a circular would be issued to that effect.

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has defended his commitment to the Nigeria national side after recent criticisms directed at him over his performances.
The Rangers Glasgow’s defender has come under scathing criticisms following the country’s defeat to Central African Republic during their 2022 World Cup qualifier at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos last Thursday.

Forex investment victims storm Rivers palace, seek monarch’s intervention
Victims of a failed foreign exchange trading company in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Wednesday, protested against the failure of the chief executive officer of the firm, Maxwell Odum, to pay them their dividends or return their capital after one year of investment.
The group threatened to dump the corpse of any investor that died from frustration over the collapse of the scheme at the doorstep of the founder’s family house.
The victims, who marched to the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Elekahia community, delivered a protest letter to the traditional ruler and sought his intervention.…

National Assembly upgrades Adeyemi College of Education to varsity
The National Assembly on Wednesday passed a bill to upgrade Adeyemi College of Education to a full-fledged university.
The development followed the concurrence of the Senate to the House of Representatives Bill which was earlier passed at the Green Chamber.
The institution will now be known as Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo after the Senate passed the bill for third reading.
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan said the bill has repealed the Act that established Adeyemi College of Education and re-enacted a new one for the establishment of the Adeyemi Federal College of Education.
The Bill for the upgrade of the foremost college of Education was passed in the Eight National Assembly but the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), declined assent to it……
