The Federal Government allocated N20.4bn to Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited from 2016 to 2021 despite the company’s idleness.
The data were collated from the appropriation bill for each year available on the website of the Budget Office of the Federation.
In 2016, N295.1m was allocated with N135.2m released by October of that year.
However, a detailed breakdown of the expenditures for the year was not available.

Our boss deploys us in Jos to kill during religious crisis – Suspected kidnapper
A suspect, Sanusi Lauwali, arrested by the Police in Bauchi State for alleged kidnapping and armed robbery, has disclosed that he killed five people during religious crises in Jos, Plateau State.
The suspect spoke while being paraded by the Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, Sylvester Alabi, at the state command headquarters.
He said that anytime there was a religious crisis in Plateau State, his boss would give them guns to kill Christians.

Mark panel races against time over pending litigation
THE Senator David Mark-led eight-member committee of the Peoples Democratic Party is racing against time to foreclose the chances of any pending litigation altering plans for a smooth national convention scheduled for October 30-31.

Delta APC ex-deputy chairman tackles Omo-Agege, dismisses suspension
A former deputy chairman of the\ All Progressives Congress in Delta State, Elvis Ayomanor, on Tuesday, described his purported expulsion from the party as “a nullity.”
He accused the Senate Deputy President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of complicity in his political traviails.

Plateau PDP suspends three members for working against party, holds congress
THE Senator Tunde Ogbeha-led People Democratic Party Caretaker Committee in charge of Plateau State has suspended three party members for anti-party activities.
It also announced Saturday 25,2021 as the new date for the state congress where new state party officials will be elected.
