Rigging: A call to arrest Oyi LGA collation officer, withdraw certificate of return issued to APGA candidate
According to Anambra political analyst, Eneh Victor, what happened In Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency of Anambra state on February 25 was a daylight robbery. The Returning Officer who collated the result of Oyi LGA must be arrested, prosecuted and jailed.
The declared winner must NOT be allowed to enjoy a stolen mandate. INEC should quickly withdraw her Certificate of Return and re-collate the result.
In an investigation carried out by Eneh Victor, what transpired in that federal constituency and we are shocked on our discovery.
In Awkuzu ward IV, the ward has 22 polling units. With about 12, 229 number of registered voters.
On the election day, the number of Accredited voters was 3,278. This is how the 5 major political parties performed in Awkuzu ward IV from the result sheet obtained.
APC – 14
APGA – 579
LP – 542
PDP – 212
YPP – 1,762
Total valid votes – 3,157
No of rejected votes – 121
Total vote cast – 3,278.
This was the result from Awkuzu ward 4. Hon Uche Okafor of YPP won in Awkuzu ward 4 with 1, 762 votes.
We have the result sheet as collated at the ward.
Shockingly, this result was changed at the LGA collation centre. AIF Media obtained the LGA collation result sheet for Oyi LGA and found that Awkuzu ward 4 result was altered.
This is what we found out at the LGA collation result sheet for ward 4 Awkuzu.
APC – 14
APGA – 579
LP – 542
PDP – 212
YPP – 236 instead of (1,762)
Total valid votes – 3751 instead of (3,157)
No of rejected votes – 2,121 instead of (121)
Total vote cast – 3,878 instead of (3,278).
We have uploaded the Awkuzu ward 4 result and that of Oyi LGA result sheets to shame the riggers.
INEC has become a disgrace to Nigeria. The collation officer must be arrested, prosecuted and jailed.
How can the collation officer after collecting bribe changed the number of rejected votes in Awkuzu ward 4 from 121 to 2,121?
So out of about 3,278 votes cast, you have 2,121 void votes. And he went ahead to reduce the votes of YPP from 1,762 to 236.
This is completely unacceptable. INEC must NEVER allow this criminality to stand. This same thing happened in many wards in Oyi LGA. We only shared that of Awkuzu ward 4 as a case study.
See the Awkuzu ward 4 result sheet as collated in the ward collation centre and compare it with that of the LGA result sheet where it was altered.
This is the evil done in Oyi LGA against Wiper. Continue reading
