Rivers Mourns As Media Aide Was Electrocuted While Charging Phone, Answering Calls
The Council, Family and friends have been thrown into mourning mode as Osaki Diri, an aide on Social Media to the Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Hon. Michael John Williams, died after he was electrocuted while answering a call when he was charging his phone
A family source confirmed that the incident happened at his residence on Thursday in Port Harcourt and that his wife who had attempted to rescue him was also shocked but survived electrocution.Diri had only wedded on August 28 in Port Harcourt.
Reacting to the incident, the Degema Council boss, commiserating with the bereaved family, described Diri as a God-fearing, humble and hard-working young man, who endeared himself to many in the short time he lived on earth.
Diri was one of the 23 social media aides engaged by the Degema Chairman in August.
