Security Breakthrough In Anambra:Joint Team Nabs Notorious Armed Robber/Kidnapper, Recovers Weapons And Stolen Vehicle

In a decisive operation, a joint security team comprising the Police and Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) operatives has arrested a notorious kidnapper and armed robber, Pablo Mamu, aged 38, from Ughelli, Delta State.
In a press release issued to newsmen in Awka by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations officer Anambra State stated that the suspect was apprehended in Ihiala in the early hours of December 23, 2024, following credible intelligence.
According to SP Ikenga, some of the items tems were recovered during the operation which include:
One OFN rifle
One locally made pistol
One live 9mm ammunition
Eight live cartridges
A black Lexus 330 jeep with mismatched registration numbers (Abuja: ABJ 159 LC and Enugu: JRV 928 SX).
He also that the operation, conducted at the suspect’s hideout, highlights the effectiveness of actionable intelligence and the swift response of security operatives.
Commending the success, the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, praised the synergy between security agencies and the vigilance of the public. He emphasized the need for continued collaboration to maintain peace and security in the state, especially during the festive season.
