See Lagos Isolation Center that looks like a world class hospital.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, commissioned a 118-bed COVID-19 isolation and treatment centre at the Gbagada General Hospital.

In a series of tweets on its official handle, the Lagos State Ministry of Health said the isolation and treatment centre will be manned by health workers highly skilled in infection prevention and control.

While speaking during the commissioning, Governor Sanwo-Olu lauded the handling of the project and hailed the State’s Ministry of Health for a great job.

He said the project is a world-class isolation centre and will be useful to the state in the fight against COVID-19.

The State has also discharged 26 more COVID-19 patients from its isolation centres.

Lagos governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced this on Friday.

He said, “Today, 26 more COVID19Lagos patients; 14 males and 12 females including two foreign nationals – a Polish and a Filipino have been discharged from our Yaba and Onikan Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients, 14 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and 12 from the Onikan Isolation Centre were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

“With this, the number number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos is now 225.”
