St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer Shot Dead In The Line Of Duty

A St. Louis Police Department officer has died after being shot in the line of duty, according to the department.
Officer Tamarris L. Bohannon, 29, died Sunday. He was a three-and-a-half year veteran of the police department. Bohannon was critically injured Saturday while responding to a call of a shooting.
The officer was searching for a shooting victim before being shot in the head, St. Louis Police Commissioner Col. John Hayden Jr. said. A second officer was wounded in the leg. The suspect was taken into custody after a 12-hour standoff.
