Suspected Muslim militia kill 35 behind UniJos
Gunmen suspected to be irate Muslim youths militia have attacked a Christian community behind University of Jos hostel in Jos North Local Government Area, killing more than 35 residents.
The community known as Yelwa Zangam community was said to be invaded by the gunmen at about 9pm Tuesday burning houses with locked up residents who burnt to ashes, an eyewitnesses said.
“The came in their numbers, shooting anyone on sight and burning houses refusing people from the house to escape”, the eyewitnesses told Daily Times Nigeria correspondent.
