Taraba Assembly Passes Vote Of Confidence On Gov Ishaku

The Taraba State House of Assembly has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Darius Ishaku in spite of recent criticism by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that he is governing the state from Abuja.

The APC had last Thursday accused Governor Ishaku of non performance and unjustified absence from the state.

The motion for the vote of confidence was moved by the deputy speaker and member representing Bali II,Hon Harman Adama, during plenary, yesterday.

The speaker Taraba state house of assembly and member representing Lau state constituency, Hon Joseph Albasu Kunini, while reading the resolution, which was signed by two third of the House, said the vote of confidence on the governor was based on the track records of the governor and his deputy governor.
