In a devastating incident that shocked the community of Awka, Anambra State, a young lady identified as Miss Chinyere Awuda from Nnobi, in Idemmili South Local Government Area, has tragically lost her life. Her lifeless body was found dumped in the abandoned swimming pool of Cosmila Hotel, Awka.

According to reliable sources, the unfortunate event unfolded at Club Mila, a nightclub reportedly owned by Cosmila Hotels. Witnesses reported that a group of individuals, including Mr. Gabriel Chinemere and his friends, believed to be clubbers, engaged in a violent altercation with Miss Chinyere Awuda for reasons yet unknown.

Despite attempts by other clubgoers to intervene and save her, the assault on Miss Chinyere Awuda persisted. Shockingly, the club manager, identified as Steven Junior, allegedly ordered the club security guards and bouncers to stand down and even turned off the lights during the brutal attack.

The confrontation ultimately led to the young lady being dragged outside the club, where her lifeless body was later discovered in the abandoned swimming pool on the premises of Cosmila Hotel.

The family of the deceased, upon receiving the devastating news, rushed to Cosmila Hotel, only to find the lifeless body of their beloved daughter. The incident was immediately reported to the Anambra State Police for further investigation and the recovery of Miss Chinyere Awuda’s body.

In response to the tragic event, Anambra State Police Spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident and stated that the main suspect, Mr. Gabriel Chinemere, is currently in police custody, as the authorities conduct a thorough investigation.

The community has been left in shock and mourning, as the untimely demise of Miss Chinyere Awuda has sparked outrage and concern for safety within nightlife establishments. Uloka Chibuike, a concerned citizen, expressed that nobody should meet such a horrific fate.
