WE FORGIVE THE KILLERS OF FR. TANKO BUT LET THEIR CONSCIENCE JUDGE THEM! – BISHOP HAMMAWA
The Catholic Diocese of Jalingo today unveiled and dedicated a pilgrimage centre in memory of late Fr. David Tanko who was brutally murdered at the wake of the violence and crime that bedeviled Southern Taraba.
In his homily the Bishop, Most Rev. Charles M. Hammawa, made it clear that the dedicated ground would become a site of prayer through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The dedicated prigrimage centre is located at St. Peter’s Parish Amadu.
Through the prayers offered at the ground, we pray that the Lord would redeem Taraba State for every violence’ the bishop added.
He called on the killers of Fr. Tanko to receive the mercy of God and the church even as they repent from such evil ways
May the soul of Rev. Fr. David Tanko and the souls of all victims of the crisis in Taraba rest in peace…
It would be recalled that Fr Tanko was burnt and killed last year inside his car on his way for a peace resolution along Takum road in Taraba State.
May Mary the Queen of peace intercede for us all…
Amen!
