In a tour around Awada street Onitsha Anambra state, on Thursday, Chrysora Media engaged in an interview with tenants living within the locality.
During these interviews, the tenants and indigenes of Awada, Onitsha majorly lamented “We Pay ANSEPA Fees Monthly, Yet These Bins Won’t Be Cleared Why? As regards to the way refuses are being dumped carelessly on the road.
Mr Onyekachukwu, a trader in Onitsha main Market, who was also one of the people involved in the interview, blamed both the people and the Anambra State govt but chiefly saying that the government has failed.
He continued saying that amidst the heavy fees paid by individuals for the clean up of the environment, the government has failed to carryout its own part in the situation.
On the part of the people, Mr Onyekachukwu continued, the people have also made things worst by the way the dispose dirts carelessly on the road to the point that these dirts are now occupying the streets and roads.
Other people who involved also in the interviews individually said almost all Mr Onyekachukwu has said.
In conclusion, they urged the government to work for the people with the money generated by the people and not stealing from them for their own selfish interest.
