When You Look Down On People, Do It With The Aim Of Lifting Them – Obi
Every minute with Mr Peter Obi, one becomes “enwisdomised.” On the 4th of January, while speaking during the “thank you visit”, to Msgr. Sylvester Mgbemfulu for his contributions to education in Nigeria, he dropped another words of wisdom.
“Do not look down on any person. Let it be that if for any reason you look down on any person that it is for the sole intention to pull him up from the ground.”
Obi decided to visit Msgr, after he heard how dedicated he was as a Chemistry teacher for 38 years. He took the opportunity to encourage teachers everywhere to imitate such committed teachers.
Monsignor Sylvester is an unadulterated Catholic priest. Very dedicated and intelligent. When you see him, you see humility. When you meet him, you meet sanctity and decency. He taught chemistry for 38 solid years. What a priest! Mr Peter Obi is right in acknowledging such a wonderful priest and teacher who has produced many great men and women in this world.
May God continue to bless you Very Rev Msgr Sylvester Mgbemfulu
