WHY NSUKKA SHOULD PRODUCE THE NEXT GOVERNOR OF ENUGU STATE COME 2023

By Ejike Nwa Nsukka
Firstly, if we are to decide today that the position becomes rotational, invariably, it becomes the turn of Nsukka to produce the next governor from 2023 to 2031 because in the real sense of it, using the “TRADITIONAL ISUSU” collection formula and the normal Igbo sharing formula amongst equals, the last person to take, becomes the first to take in the next round.
Since Nsukka was the last to take in this current round that will end in 2023, it is most reasonable, fair and just, in the interest of peace, love, unity and equality that Nsukka Zone begins the next round by providing the next occupant of Lion Building come 2023.
Secondly, going by the old Enugu state, we had two zones which is Enugu Zone and Nsukka Zone, Nsukka Zone was made up of seven local government which included Isi Uzo, Igbo Eze North, Igbo Eze South, Udenu, Nsukka, Uzo Uwani and Igbo Etiti local government.
But because Jim nwobodo was more powerful than any Enugu politician then, as the former Governor of Old Anambra state, he influenced the creation of another zone from Enugu Zone making Enugu East and Enugu west. Isi Uzo was extracted from Nsukka zone down to Enugu East leaving Nsukka Zone with six local governments which is today known as Enugu North Zone.
What it means is that Enugu Zone has governed our dear state for 16 uninterrupted years while the old Nsukka Zone will be completing her 8 years by 2023 that’s to say that Nsukka people shouldn’t be interrupted in 2023.
GOOD DAY ENUGU STATE.
