47-year-old woman died of covid-19 after being spat on when she was on duty

47-year-old Belly Mujinga was on the concourse of Victoria station in London in March when a member of the public who said he had #COVID19 spat and coughed at her and a colleague. Within days of the assault, both ticket office workers fell ill with the virus.

Mujinga, who had underlying respiratory problems, was admitted to hospital and put on a ventilator, but died on 5 April.

While the British Transport Police has launched an investigation into the incident, official figures have revealed that black people are more than four times more likely to die from Covid-19 than white people in England and Wales.
