Tinubu appoints Coker-Odusote as NIMC Acting DG
Coker-Odusote served as Special Adviser on Technology to then Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu
She had also previously worked in the United Kingdom and Nigeria with 15 years experience across technology,real estate/construction,oil and gas, finance, media and advertising industries.
A former Head, IT and Communications @ Bate Liwin, she also chaired the APC National Database as Project Director.
She was appointed Director-General of the Lagos State Infrastructural Maintenance and Regulatory agency by Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu in 2021.
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote to serve as the Acting Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) for a 90-day period, with effect from August 24, 2023, after which, a full term of four years will begin as the substantive NIMC Director-General/CEO, beginning on November 24, 2023.
Coker-Odusote is to replace the current DG of NIMC Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, whom the President has directed to commence 90-day pre-retirement leave with effect from August 24, 2023, leading to his eventual retirement from service on November 24, 2023.
President Tinubu also approved the appointment of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub to serve as the Director/CEO of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC).
This follows the recent expiration of tenure of the former DTAC Director/CEO, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi.
This appointment according to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Ajuri Ngelale takes immediate effect.
