Recall that Anambra Government under Willie Obiano recently started meddling in the matters of NFF Anambra Chapter just to frustrate Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah. Unfortunately, the NFF who allowed themselves to be used by Anambra State Government could not defend their mischievous marriage before the Hon. Minister of Youth & Sport Mr. Sunday Dare.
Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah who came fully prepared with 169 page detailed dossier / documented evidence before the Minister gave overwhelming evidence how things have been with Anambra Football Association to the admiration of the Hon. Minister. Including how he has been funding the football affairs of the state single handedly in the past 4 years
The Senator revealed some activities by the NFF in the course of trying to foist an illegal situation on football in the state at the prodding of the state Govt that amounted to incompetence, corruption and double standard
Unfortunately, Anambra Government and Alhaji Gusau that represented NFF could not present any rationally accepted documents in evidence to defend the politically motivated illegalites foisted against the Senator.
Even the representative of Anambra Government admitted that Anambra Government has not invested in the game of football for the past seven (7) years.
At the moment, the entire lovers of football in Anambra and by extension Nigeria await the verdict of the Honorable Minister via a white paper which is expected to come out today being the 13th October 2020.
There are high hopes that the Honorable Minister will rejuvenate the dying hope of lovers of football in Anambra.
