Robbers Invade Mission School in Anambra , Rob Teachers, others.

Fear has gripped parents,staff and management of Bishop Crowder Memorial Shool,Egerton Road,Onitsha following a report of two armed men who yesterday invaded Bishop Crowder Memorial Shool(BCM),Onitsha carting away phones, laptops and other valuables belonging to the teachers.

One of the affected victims,the Headmistress of the school which belongs to the Anglican Church,Niger Diocese was said to be holding an important meeting with some members of staff of the school when the incident happened.

Our correspondent gathered that the school head and the teachers were holding a meeting downstairs when one of the hoodlums who had arrived the school premises in a tricycle quietly walked upstairs to the Headmistress office which was said to be unlocked and collected her phone which was left on the table.

The invading armed man was also said to have walked into the primary section of the school and attempted to pick another phone which was left on the table by the class teacher who had incidentally gone to attend a meeting with the Headmistress.

However, some of the pupils in that particular class jokingly threatened to call in the police if their “auntie’s ” phone was tampered with.

It was at this juncture that the criminal hurriedly left the school premises to Meet his accomplice who was already stationed inside the tricycle and drove away to an unknown direction.

That singular incident have thrown the entire school into confusion as such incident had never been experienced in the mission school.

When our correspondent visited the school yesterday none of the staff volunteered to speak to the press .

One of the security men in the school who was reportedly present at the school gate when the incident happened could not give account of the incident as he was baffled over the development.

The Vicar of St.Peter’s Church, owners of the school was said to be out from the parsonage when the hoodlum invaded the school.
