Grassroot Boxing Talent Hunt: PVC criterion for participating in training

Ex International boxer Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo has said that presenting of PVC is the only criterion for potential boxers to partake in his training.

After the meeting held today attended by Mazi Okoronkwo, Mr Blaise Ozoemena Udeh and Mr Reuben Ibekwa among others, Mazi Okoronkwo said

“we passed the resolution during South Eastern state boxing stakeholders meeting held at the Sports Council Boxing Gym today and it was settled that parents or guardian of students that are involved in grassroot boxing talent hunt exercise must have PVC before their Children will be allowed to train with Sports Ambassador Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo and Blaise Ozoemena Udeh Team.

This was done to encourage the boxers to know their fundamental human right and obligation. “Any body that is above 18 years of age must have Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) before the person will be allowed to train in Sports Council Boxing Gym at Enugu” Mazi Okoronkwo said

“No benefit or Scholarship will be given to family that refuse to get their PVC because PVC is a way forward to straighten Our Nation’s Democracy and also a way to address the reasons of regional agitation and Insecurity in the Country”

“We in the boxing Family are calling on others to give PVC mandatory status to people that need their service”

“This will assist in maintaining lasting peace and unity of our Nation in the Spirit of Sportsmanship” Mazi Okoronkwo concluded.
