AMBASSADOR OF SPORTS DONATES 200 TEXTBOOKS TO ENUGU STATE SCHOOLS.
As earlier slated, Nigeria ex int’l boxer and Abia state ambassador for sports in boxing, Comr Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo Met with the Enugu state commissioner for education.
Nigeria ex International boxer and Sports Ambassador Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, during the donation of 200 Copies of Health and Physical Education Text books to Hon Commissioner for Education, Prof Uchenna Eze.
The Enugu State Commissioner for Education Prof. Uche Eze received with kind gesture 200 Physical and Health Education textbooks donated by mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo to Enugu State indigents students recently in his office.
The Hon. Commissioner on behalf of the state government thanked him for his generous donation. He commended the Ambassadors interest in education especially in areas concerning sports. He made it clear that when children are properly exposed to physical and health education, many of them can make careers out of it.
In view of this, he said that, the Ambassadors instincts moves in line with that of the governor who has made a lot of impact in educational sector, He ensured that the educational policies in Enugu State are effectively implemented and directed that sports should be more emphasized in our schools.
The Hon. Commissioner assured a proper distribution of the books as it is a good support as govt. alone cannot fund education.
In response, the donor mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo thanked the Hon. Commissioner for his hospitality. He said that the book covers the scheme of work and it will help the students to know the basic techniques in physical and health education.
