APC Campaign Council Demand Atiku’s Arrest Over SPVs Alleged Corruption (Video)
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has been accused of corruption, and the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) has urged his immediate arrest and questioning.
Festus Keyamo (SAN), the chief spokesperson for the APC PCC, reportedly made the statement on Monday at a media briefing in Abuja.
According to Keyamo, a whistleblower named Micheal Achmugu made some shocking revelations around a week ago that provided the former Vice President with concrete evidence.
He requested that the nation’s security authorities detain and question the former Vice President for allegedly stealing money from the country between 1999 and 2007 via “Special Purpose Vehicles” (SPVs).
Atiku, according to the Minister of State for Labor and Employment, broke numerous laws and should be invited for potential prosecution.
The PDP candidate was also urged by the campaign council to apologize unconditionally to Nigerians and withdraw from the run for president right away.
Dele Alake, Director of Media Affairs and Chief Spokesperson for the Council, Festus Keyamo (SAN), Director of Media and Publicity Bayo Onanuga, Director of Special Media Projects and New Media Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, and Director of Strategic Communications Alhaji Idris Mohammed were all present at the conference.
