APC NEC withdraws all court cases, affirms Pastor Ize Iyamu as Edo governorship candidate

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu will be representing the All Progressives Congress in the Edo Governorship Election slated for September after a ratification of the party primaries on Monday by the National Executive Committee in its ongoing meeting at the State House in Abuja.
The NEC meeting, presided over by President Buhari, affirmed his emergence as the party’s candidate and directed the immediate submission of his name to INEC in compliance with electoral guidelines.
Furthermore, to avoid complication, the NEC has also directed all party members and stakeholders alike to withdraw all court cases and commit to unification efforts meant to secure victory for the party at the polls.
Other decisions taken at the meeting includes the dissolution of the National Working Committee to be replaced by a Caretaker Committee chaired by His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, the Governor of Yobe State.
