I have made my point unequivocally clear about the Edo State election which is certainly between Obaseki and Ize Iyamu.
Both are a shame to modesty. Playing with the lives of millions of innocent citizens who wish they would be served good governance.
I only pity the PDP members who suddenly became fans of Obaseki and the APC members who have now adopted Ize Iyamu.
They are the worst fools in this scenario. Real foolish people who can hardly boast of three square meals but have turned themselves to spectators who may not even have a simple bite of the the benefit when the main dish is served.
Our democracy or the Nigeria politics is devoid of Principle and self respect. People do things that suites their personal ambition to steal our common patrimony rather than offer good governance. That is the reason this nation is where it is today.
Back to the PDP Edo State, certainly all the other aspirants that have helped to nurture the party should feel bad that the man who was the reason for them fortifying the party eventually becomes the beneficiary of the governorship party ticket. The same is the situation of the APC. The same enemies changing party and major loyalists to sustain crave for power. What a shame.
It is very clear that Obaseki will fly the kite of the pdp, the national working committee of the PDP will issue him a waiver. The question is how will he compensate the co aspirants who may be disenfranchised? That also will be wasting the state resources to keep afloat in the ego war.
For Ogbeide, my friend who was a member the houde of reps, to have won election as a PDP reps member from Edo State despite the combination of Obaseki and Oshiomole in 2015 shows he is on ground.
I have had cause to work with him a tourism consultant to the national assembly when he was house committee chairman of the committee on Culture and Tourism which made me know he is a big nut to crack. He is very tough and does not play with his Benin background.
He has approached the Portharcourt High Court to stop Obaseki from participating in the PDP primary election.
That court did not grant him his prayer.
Let us watch how things unfold.
Hon. Prince Philip Orebiyi
