Edo North APC Pays Courtesy Visit On Oshiomhole, Restates Commitment to Imuse, Tenebe’s leadership

Edo North Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has paid a Courtesy Visit on Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Speaking at the meeting Monday 28th of December, 2020, at the Residence of the former Edo governor at Iyamho town, a community near Auchi in Etsako West local government area of the State.Edo State deputy Charman of the APC, Emperor Jarret Tenebe, said, the purpose of the visit was to formally inform the Ex APC National Chairman about their inauguration as members of the State Caretaker Committee from Edo North extraction

Emperor Tenebe, who was unavoidably absent from the meeting as a result of pressing official assignments in Abuja, was represented by the Senatorial Chairman, Mr.S.S.Mayaki.

While presenting the policies and programmes of the party in the Senatorial district to the former APC National Chairman, Mr.Mayaki said, they were ready to tap from the wealth of experience of the Comrade governor in party politics and administration.

He commended the former APC National Chairman for his developmental strides in the nooks and crannies during his reign as the governor of Edo State.

He reinterated their commitments to the advancement of the party in the Senatorial district.

In his remark, the Senatorial Youth leader, Comrade Dirisu Otinomo, said, Oshiomhole liberated and brought Edo North from the periphery to epicenter of National politics and pledged their loyalty to the former governor at all times.

Responding, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, thanked them for the visit and for standing firm with the party against all odds, adding that APC went into the last governoship election without a party structure.

He stressed the need for leaders to build party structure, rather than Individual Structure, noting that, there are leaders with electoral value at the various levels of the party.

The former Edo governor, emphasized the need for periodic meetings of Party leaders for proper appraisal of happenings in the party.

Comrade Oshiomhole, called for transparency in the management of Party funds to earn the trust of the people.

According to him, the Youth Wing of the Party were the dependable Allies of the party and called for reinvention of the Youth Wing for maximum performance.

The former Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, asserted that the reward system should be to those who are genuinely committed to the growth of the party.

Members of the State Working Committee from Edo North axis were in attendance.
