Ekiti Ex-Governor, Fayose’s Brother Narrates Escape From Kidnappers On Way To Lagos

Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, escaped a kidnapping attempt by unknown gunmen on Monday evening.

The younger Fayose stated this on his Facebook page, adding that while heading to Lagos State, unknown gunmen assaulted his vehicle and many others, abducting numerous people.

According to him, numerous individuals were kidnapped, and he barely escaped with his vehicle damaged.

He wrote: “Thank God for life!!! No life was lost …. Many were kidnapped. Kidnappers in Gbongan area of Oyo State (sic) coming to Lagos. No security in Nigeria at all.,,,,,This is why I won’t vote Tinubu and Atiku; they changed Goodluck to Buhari.”

Meanwhile, the Osun State Police Command, on Tuesday, said the incident announced on social media by the younger brother of ex-Ekiti State Governor, Isaac Fayose, was not reported at any of its division in the state.

The police said, “He didn’t report to any police station in Osun State. We are not spirits to know what happen everywhere and every time. The Facebook is not a police complaint/report station Sir. If we want more enquiry from him about the incident, because there are lots of questions that we will want to ask him, which can’t be asked on the Facebook Sir. Thanks and have a sumptuous day. But notwithstanding, we shall work on the matter to know what really happened and know what to do about it.”

The story of how the younger Fayose was allegedly attacked in Gbongan, had gone viral on social media.

Also in the report, Fayose claimed the incident happened in Gbongan (Oyo State). But the town Gbongan is the headquarters of Ayedaade Local Government Area in Osun State.

He also said that during the attack, many people were abducted by suspected gunmen.
