Enugu South Hails Mazi Okoronkwo, As Abayomi Presents His Won Silver Medal

The Executive Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area Mr Monday Eneh says he was overwhelmed and filled with joy with the outstanding performance of Mr Samuel Amos Abayomi Omeiza who won a silver medal in the recent concluded National sports festival held in Edo State.

He made this call on Tuesday the 28 day of September 2021 in his Uwani office, the headquarters of Enugu South Local Government Area when Mr Omeiza the silver medalist on boxing at the recent concluded National sports festival was presented to him by Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, the ambassador for sports, in boxing.

The Enugu South LG Chairman stated that his joy knows no bounds since the young boxer is from his local government noting that there is nothing to measure the good name he brought to himself, his family, Enugu South, and Enugu state at large.

Mr Eneh who prayed the almighty to help him to the peak of his carrier urged him to put more zeal to excel and be counted among those who will make it abroad.

The Executive Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area Mr Monday Eneh commended the Executive Governor of Enugu State Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his empowerment on the youth that led to this achievement of whom we are celebrating now.

To the ambassador Mr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, the chairman commended his efforts on talent hunt on the 17 local government area of the state that bored this celebration.

Earlier in his speech Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, sport ambassador and Nigeria ex international boxer presented the silver medalist to the chairman stated that the young man Mr Samuel Amos Abayomi Omeiza of Igbariam in Enugu South was selected in a talent hunt some years ago and was trained and has come back with a silver medal from the national festival Edo State 2021.

Okoronkwo added that his papers are being prepared for further performance outside the country.

The highpoint of the event was the presentation of the silver medal to the chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area Mr Monday Eneh.
