The Federal Government of Nigeria on Monday, 21 December, ordered the closure of all schools in the country till 18th of January, 2021. According to the government, this was necessitated as a result of the 2nd wave of COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
The National University Commission (NUC), has given universities in the country the go-ahead to reopen for academic activities on the 18th day of January 2021.
This comes a few weeks after the commission ordered all tertiary institutions to remain closed indefinitely, in response to the second wave of the COVID-19 virus.
