Fight Against Rape: Anambra Commissioner for Women Affairs, Visits NTASI Center.

In her bid to booster the fight against rape in Anambra State, the State’s Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, today, 3rd August, 2020, paid an assessment visit to the Sexual Assult Referral Center (NTASI) situated at Enugu Ukwu General Hospital, Njikoka LGA,of Anambra State.
The Sexual Assult Center was established in September 2019, by RoLAC, in collaboration with Anambra State government, it is aimed to serve as center where incident related to rape are reported and followed up.
Other services provided by the center include: counseling, rehabilitation of victims in addition to prosecuting rape offenders and monitoring.
While concluding the moral boosting visit, the Honorable Commissioner provided the management of the center with cash handout and gift items such as soap, milk, biscuit, malt drink and others.
