Gospel artiste Paul Nwokocha remarries after ex-wife packed out (Photos)
“I decided to marry my new wife, Goodness, one month after my ex-wife packed out of our matrimonial home because the Holy Bible said, I Paul Nwokocha, should not be alone”. This public declaration marks the end of a 20years marriage of the popular Gospel singer Evang Paul Nwokocha and the beginning of a new era in his marital life.
Both the traditional and white wedding took place on the 16th of September 2023. During the occasion, the singer disclosed how the ex wife used to maltreat him to the extent on several occasions, she drove him away from the house, “My ex wife, Alice stopped giving me food not minding that i give her money for the running of the house every month, I was living as an outcast in my home”, he lament.
But the Gospel singer made some important disclosure which we aren’t even taking into consideration.
“What happened to my past marriage, is what had happened to other people, today they’re no more”
“But I decided not to kill anybody, and I decided nobody will kill me. That’s why I have to go on my separate ways without killing anybody”
“Look let me tell you, my own marriage is not for better for worse. My marriage is for better to the best. I don’t marry to endure, I marry to enjoy”
Most times, i do wonder what kind of vow Abraham and Sarah took and they lived together for more than 90yrs, even without a child. What kind of vow did Joseph and Mary took and they stayed together, even when Jesus was conceived out of the Holy Spirit?. All the marriages that flourished in the Bible never took any vow. Even our parents and forefathers didn’t take the vow – For Better, For Worse – yet they enjoyed a peaceful and harmonious marriage better than what we are seeing today, even when the marriage was polygamous. For better for worse is not in the Bible, where did the Church get it from?.
The renowned Gospel singer Late Osinachi lost her life because of “for better for worse”. Many have gone same way because they want to maintain their vow. Today, many are dying silently in their marriage because nobody wants to go against the Church. Just like Paul Nwokocha said, marriage is meant to be enjoyed, marriage is not meant to be endured. If it is not working, please separate and save your life.
