Grass roots boxing talent hunt: Reception of Ugwu Sopuruchi, Ugwuja Favour in their LGA
Ugwu Sopuruchi and Ugwuja favour, potential boxers discovered from Igbo-etiti LGA during 7th Edition of Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly Grass root Boxing Talent Hunt exercise has been received in their LGA which is Igbo Etiti LGA in Enugu state.
The hunting exercise which was co ordinated by Nigerian ex international boxer, Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo in the 17 LGA,s of Enugu State South Eastern Nigeria, West Africa led to the discovery of many boxing talents in which Sopuruchi and Favour are parcipators.
The event of the reception took place on Monday, 27th August, at Ogbede, the Headquarters of Igbo-etiti LGA in which the management of Igboetiti LGA led by Nwagbowo Jennifer (JP) the HPM, Ogbozor Gloria N (Mrs) the Secretary,
Comrade Jude Omeje the Sports co ordinator Igbo- etiti Council,
Anikwu Adline (TR), Christian Anigbo (payroll office),
Emma Achiever (Health Officer), were all present.
The Female Student Boxers from Community High School, Ohodo, Enugu won various medals and were awarded certificate and some cash prices in Speakers Enugu State House of Assembly Grass root Boxing State Finals co sponsored by the Council.
In excitement, IGBOETITI LGA gave cash award to the Boxers to support their further training and Education.
