Grassroot Boxing Talent Hunt: Empower your Children, Don’t Use Them For Rituals – Ex Int’l Boxer Urges Parents
Nigeria Ex International Boxer and Ambassador for Sports in boxing, Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo visited coal camp Enugu North LGA for grassroot boxing talent hunt exercise.
Team Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo discovered 21 boxing talent at coal camp Secondary School Ogbete Enugu North LGA Enugu State Nigeria. Among the boxers are Nebo Emmanuel.
During a brief interview with Mazi Okoronkwo, he said “Grassroot boxing talent hunt exercise in Coal camp Enugu was borne of the fact that Children are gift from God which is greater than money”
Furthermore, he explained that one of the purpose of the event is to encourage parents to invest in their children’s Education which include Sporting participation.
In conclusion, Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo lamented bitterly and discouraged parents from using children for Ritual. “It was painful when I heard that a parent killed his son at coal camp for Ritual” he said.
