Hon. Okwu Chinedu presents bill that will enhance security of lives and properties for people of Enugu State.

Hon. Okwu Chinedu (Otaka) as chairman of house committee on youth, sports and security matters on Tuesday 01/09/2020 presented a report on A BILL FOR A LAW TO ESTABLISH THE ENUGU STATE FOREST GUARDS to Enugu state house of Assembly.
The import of the bill when passed into law is to enhance security of lives and property of the good people of Enugu State.
The bill will also encourage our farmers to return to the farmlands without fear of attack or destruction of their crops in the farmland by the herdsmen and their cattles which has since become prevalent in our farms amongst other vices.
During his presentation at the hallow chamber he unmasked how the bill when passed into law can increase the IGR of Enugu state, how the bill can increase food security in Enugu, how the bill can increase job opportunities in Enugu and how the bill can reduce rural-urban migration, hence people in the rural setting can farm in their farmers without threat to security.
Finally, he thanked members of the committee for their undiluted support and co-operation during the public hearing and committee meetings.
