Igbos are accommodating in terms of nation building – Mazi Okoronkwo reacts to recognition of boxer, Samuel Abayimo by Enugu State boxing association.
The recognition of the boxer presented by Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo from Igboriam Enugu South LGA to Hon Monday Eneh the Executive Chairman of Enugu South LGA and his F&G has shown that Igbos are very accommodating to those who are sincere and honest in nation building.
As has been demostrated by the enabled Environment that was created for youth Empowerment through Boxing as a Sports for Kelly Abayimo who is of Yoruba Origin to be empowered without tribal sentiment.
It was reported that Enugu South Local government Council Executive Chairman Hon Monday Eneh and the council F&G on 28/09/21 received Enugu South LGA discovered potential heavy weight world class boxer Samuel Abayimo Kelly Omeiza who Represented Enugu State at National Sports Festival for Nigeria Unity held from 2nd to 14th April 2021 and won Silver medal for Enugu State.
The presentation of the boxer was done by Grassroot boxing talent hunt co ordinator Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo who is also Sports Ambassador in Boxing and ex international boxer.
According to Sports Ambassador Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo full recognition has been given to Samuel Kelly Abayimo at the Community level, that is grassroot level for representing Enugu South LGA which lead to carrying Enugu State victory flag at National Sports Festival at Edo State.
Speaking to the pressmen in his residence in Enugu State, Mazi Okoronkwo stated “We ,the Boxing stakeholders, Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, Coach Lucky, Coach Blaise Udeh, Chief Osondu Ogbu (aka Old School), the Commissioners, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi among others has demostrated the true spirit of sincere peace , Unity and real human capacity building as being clamour by the public
Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo continued by saying that Hon Monday Eneh the Executive Chairman of Enugu South LGA with his deputy, Secretary, HPM,Accountant and others from Enugu South LGA has shown one love and ability to move the Nation forward .
In conclusion, he said that another history has been made as was witnessed in Tuesday 28/09/21 event during the National sports Festival Silver Medalist celebration in Enugu South LGA. It all ended in praise.
