A 29-year-old Ikechukwu Uba from Ogboji in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, was allegedly murdered by his friend Chika Uchendu.

According to sources, Ikechukwu Uba was found helpless at St. Augustine Primary School field Umunze and was rushed to clinic where he was pronounced dead and the cause of his death is unknown.

Daily News Reporters, reports that Ikechukwu was seen in the evening of Saturday 5th February, 2022 around 9pm accompanying his friend Chika Uchendu to Ajali in Orumba North local govt area.

Information gathered from the keke driver who conveyed Ikechukwu remains says that Chika Uchendu called him around 4:30am on Sunday morning to come and pick someone that had an accident, the keke driver who was unable to come out at that time because it was too early, later came out around 6am and drove Chika from Ogboji to Ajali.

Getting to Ajali, a call came to Chika’s phone that they should start coming to Umunze and they were lead to one St. Augustine Primary School field Umunze by the caller where they found Ikechukwu laying helplessly and was taken to clinic where he was pronounced dead.

Report says that Chika earlier called the deceased sister telling her that his brother got into an accident without disclosing the location of the incident.

While everyone was thinking it was accident that killed Ikechukwu, but Chika Uchendu who earlier claimed he knew the person that called and informed him about the accident couldn’t provide the phone number of the caller, said it was a hidden number and couldn’t also show the call logs of the hidden number… and he finally said It has been wiped out from his phone.
Since the tragic death of Ikechukwu Uba, the Ogboji Youths has been reacting to the ugly event asking questions on how Chika who left with his friend Ikechukwu to an unknown destination came back alone and alive while his friend was brought home dead?

It was also alleged that Ogboji Youths Executive are using delay tactics to aid the suspect escape from the community.
