Labour Party Crisis Deepens as Pro-Abure Group Disrupts Stakeholders Meeting

Labour Party crisis deepens, as angry youths, believed to be Julius Abure supporters, tried on Monday, to disrupt a stakeholders meeting of the Nigeria Labour Congress political commission. Holding in Abuja.

The meeting which had Yunusa Tanko, representing the labour party 2023 Election Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, resolved to set up a caretaker committee to organise fresh ward congresses, in preparation for a national convention.

Peter Obi’s representative told the Pro-Julius Abure group and the NLC to quickly resolve burning issues as he has no immediate intention to leave the Labour Party.
