Rangers fans in their numbers stormed the pitch, forcing Aba fans out of the pitch and the Enyimba players left the field in protest and the game ended without a result.
Rangers currently top the league with 62 points while Enyimba trails with 60 points which made today’s game very competitive as it would have decided the potential winner of the league.

“I was following the match between Rangers vs Enyimba on line but it was unfortunate to see a match of that magnitude that attracted much crowd and our interest to end in a barbaric way at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on 9th June 2024. Those actions displayed in the field of play did not demonstrate the spirit of Sportsmanship.
Our people need to be educated on the meaning of sports, its aims, objectives and goals
