Mazi Okoronkwo disagrees with APC taking over government in Abia as asserted by Hon Kalu
Reacting to the video above, democracy activist and Nigeria ex international boxer, Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo has rejected the Assertion made by APC member, the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives in Abuja, Rep Benjamin Kalu in view of APC taking over Abia State government in 2027 by all means.
Recall Hon Kalu said
Alex Otti will be the last LP Governor of Abia state. I have told him this before, both privately and publicly. Monkey will not be working and Baboon will be chopping. Go and write it somewhere.
In a statement made on Monday to straighten the matter, Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo who is Abia State sports ambassador Boxing said that it is the people’s choice will count not to the contrary.
Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo calls on politicians at National level not to be over excited because of the relationship with the sitting president GCFR Bola Tinubu.
Because what matters in state election is the capacity of candidates and not the political party.
Nigerians are wiser now.
Even in next general election no one can predict the party that will win the presidential election because Nigerians are wiser now.
We used our various positions as tactical sports warriors to educate our South Easterns and other Nigerians that believe in democratic system of Government not to participate in acclaimed hunger protest because it was calculated to create political tension that can overwhelmed Nigeria Democracy Government.
Therefore it was not because all Nigerians liked APC as Political party, rather Nigerians were educated and advised to follow due process of election especially LGA,s elections and 2027 elections to select people that can deliver dividends of Democracy.
In view of the above I wish to use this medium to call those that claim otherwise to be guided for the interest of peace and unity of the Country and Democracy. He concluded.
