According to the mandate given to Edo 2020 committee, ( committee set by Edo state Government) to come up with the new recommended date for postponed National Sports festival and plans for safety measures in view of Edo State readiness to host the most prestigious National sporting events in Nigeria tagged National Sports Festival by the Hon Minister, Federal Ministry of youth and Sports Sunday Dare is highly commended.
Without mincing words Edo State current political struggle is alarming to side viewers
The only way we can be sure that Edo state people are ready to host other Nigerians, are when the Government pass the test in the name of mandate from Minister of youth and Sports Sunday Dare.
Actually Edo State state suppose to lead other states in sports development in view of human capacity building.
But greed, corruption, ego among other negative vices by various political heavy weights have being weighing Edo State down for long.
Edo state is bless by God but many unseen forces is against the positive progress of the State..
However after 30 days from today the truth about Edo state readiness to host National Sports Festival will be known.
It would be a degrace and regrettably for Edo state to miss the Host of National Sports festival 2020 without any natural disasters reason after all the long time frames, and adjustment opportunity created by Covid 19 pandemic.
I called on all the politicians in Edo state to please consider Edo state and Nigeria interest First before personal interest to attract further development toward public interest.
