Instead of protesting, watch Olympic games and support Nigeria – Mazi Okoronkwo urges Nigerians
The Nigerian ex-international boxer and Ambassador for sports boxing, Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo has called on many state of Nigeria to withdraw from any form of protest that will undermine our democracy with the spirit of Sportsmanship.
Mazi Okoronkwo said this in his resident in Enugu on Monday following the plan national protest which has already begun in some states.
He said
Considering our sportsmen and women participating at paris 2024 Olympic’s games. I called on all Nigerians to please concentrate on watching Olympics games and support team Nigeria rather than engagement in protest at this sensitive time.
The above will help to understand the need to build the capacity of schools children at grassroot for event like this Olympics considering 2028 los Angeles Olympic’s Game which required our collective support for our children future in building career in sports rather than engagement in crime for survival.
In another message he sent to Chrysora Media, Mazi Okoronkwo maintained that he won’t be part of the protest and gave reasons for that.
He wrote
I will not join Nigerians clamouring for hunger protest against the Presidency in Nigeria because i and my team are not hungry people.
The truth is that our God have being providing enough food for me and my allies till date.
Therefore I can never lie against my God by hiding his goodiness and testimony for abandance to us.
However, the only people that I could have talked against are debtors that owed me huge money in Nigeria which include some of LGA,s administrators at grassroot who claimed that Governor’s Chief of Staff is the one to give them directive on finance release.
But Thank God for Supreme Court Judgment over LGA financial autonomy.
No need to grease the palm of any body that did not contribute to my success.
Nigeria is moving forward to the glory of God
