Anambra APGA chairman faces shame as gov Soludo approves Ossy Onuko’s Mega Rally in Awka

Prof Soludo today, disgraced Barr Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, as he ordered his Deputy, Dr Onyeka Ibezim and other top govt functionaries to attend the Solution Team rally at Awka.

Mammoth crowd gathered at the Solution Team Anambra Central Zonal Rally hosted by the Hon. Ossy Onuko despite last-minute directive by Barr Obi-Okoye, the State Chairman of APGA cancelling the event.

Barr Obi-Okoye had cancelled the zonal rally aimed at mobilizing support for Prof Soludo alleging that the organizers did not consult the stakeholders and party leaders in Anambra central senatorial zone.

But in a quick reaction by one of the Soludo’s members of the kitchen cabinet and National Publicity Secretary of APGA (illegal), Mazi Ejimofor Opara he told the press at Awka that the rally go on and that Ifeatu Obi-Okoye had no powers to cancel the rally aimed at mobilizing supporters for the governor.

For the rally to hold today despite the cancellation by the state chairman of APGA indicates that the state chairman of APGA has lost the confidence of the governor and this may signal the beginning of removal from the party.

Some of those at the rally were Deputy Governor Dr. Onyeka Ibezim; Special Adviser Political to the Governor Dr. Alex Obiogbolu; The duo represented the Governor.

Others were Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr Chinedu Nwoye, Glamour; Fr. Raphael Onyekwelu – Chaplain Governor’s Lodge; President General ASATU – Barr. Titus Akpudo, who was also Chairman of the occasion; Asatu Youth Leader among others.

This is a huge embarrassment on the party of the State Chairman that he cancelled an event and the governor ordered the even to hold.

It is a sign that the centre can no longer hold.
