Posters and billboards promoting Abdullahi Ganduje, former
Kano governor, for the chairmanship of the All Progressives Congress (APC),
have been spotted at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
The billboards bearing Ganduje’s images beside those of
President Bola Tinubu, were seen at the APC secretariat located at Blantyre
Crescent, Wuse 2.
Some of them had the inscription: “Ganduje is a capable hand
who can unite members of the ruling party for future challenges”.
There have been speculations suggesting that Ganduje is
being favoured to become APC national chairman.
Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore, former chairman and
secretary of the party, relinquished their positions following corruption
allegations against them.
Although some party stakeholders have expressed support for
Ganduje, others have publicly voiced their opposition to his emergence.
