Juventus have partially won their appeal against their 15-point Serie A deduction. Points restored for now and they return to third in Serie A. But the case has been referred to a new appeals court with a hearing expected in a month.

What is not clear yet is whether, should the points be deducted again at the new appeal (or a different points deduction established) they will be applied this season or next. Only a partial win for Juve with a chance points taken back off.

Meanwhile, bad news for Fabio Paratici, who has lost his appeal against his 2.5-year ban from football.

Complicating factor regarding points is the Collegio di Garanzia dello Sport have up to one month (max) to publish the explanation behind the ruling and only then can it be appealed again. If legal process done by June 30, and Juve do lose the appeal, points could come off this season. But next season possible, too.

Final point: Pavel Nedved and several other members of the Juventus board have been cleared of wrongdoing in the capital gains case, but Paratici, Andrea Agnelli, Maurizio Arrivabene and Federico Cherubini had their bans upheld with further appeal options available to them.
