Retired Commissioner of Police Anambra State Shares Dangerous, Safe Moments With Journalists

The retired Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Aderemi Adeoye, on Monday, 29th April 2024 at the police command’s headquarters, Amawbia, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State recounted his encounters- the dangerous moments and safe moments in the course of his profession over the years and said only the grace of God saved him.

Speaking with Journalists at Police Command, Amawbia, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Monday, 29th April 2024, Adeoye said only God saved him when he was posted to fight militancy in the Niger Delta for five years, Boko Haram for one and a half years and Indegenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) in Anambra State.

His words, ‘It is to the glory of God with gun shots and bombs, I did not have a scar”.

Part of what led to his success he said was that he had served in Anambra for 10 years under seven Commissioners of Police.

Adeoye, however, thanked Nigeria for the opportunity offered him to go places while serving in the force.

According to him, ‘the trainings he received while serving prepared him to face retirement.

For instance he said the financial education he received from many courses he attended led to the founding of an investment club, Alpha Trust Investment Club (ATIC) in 2018.

He said the club currently had investments worth over N20 billion, and that as he retires, he is going into the business full time, and that he was set to give Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote a run for his money.

Adeoye praised Anambra people saying they were enterprising, warm and hospitable adding: ‘I will never open my mouth and talk ill of Anambra State,’ he noted

He also said he enjoyed the hospitality of the people leading to his being decorated with two Chieftaincy titles in Anambra State, one at Ogbunka and another at Omasi. He also praised his wife Reubeca for her support.

Earlier, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu praised his boss, describing him as a thoroughbred.
