Strike: ABU Zaria Reopens October 24, Resumes Lectures January

Following the recent suspension of the eight-month old strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Management of the Amadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced resumption of academic activities.

The University announced October 24th, 2022, for the reopening of its campus to activities. But continuation of lectures for the truncated 2021/2022 academic session’s first semester will only begin January 3, 2023.

A “special bulletin” published by the institution on Wednesday, made available to CAMPUS GIST, said the the approval was given by the University’s Senate at its 516th emergency meeting held today (Wednesday). Continue reading
