Unveiling of the trophies for the grassroot boxing talent hunt championship finals
It is a memorable day as the honorable speaker Enugu State House of Assembly Rt Hon Uche Ugwu, unveiled the trophies to be given to the champions of the champions in the grassroot boxing talent hunt exercise conducted in the 17 local government areas of Enugu state by Comr Mazi Ikechukwu Okoronkwo, The ex international boxer and ambassador for sports boxing.
This program which took event on monday, 6th May, 2024 at Parliament Hall PPSMB was officially open with an opening prayer/remark by Rev father Dr Hillary Mgbodili, Chairman of Post Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB).
In his speech, he commended the effort of the speaker enugu state house of assembly rt hon Uche Ugwu for fully supporting the growth of the grassroot boxing talent hunt conducted by Mazi Ikechukwu Okorokwo. He further commended the efforts of the Ex international boxer, Mazi Ikechukwu Okorokwo for the grassroot boxing hunt in the 17 local governments of Enugu state.
The event became more colorful with the presence of so many dignitaries including, The honorable speaker Rt Hon Uche Ugwu, the Chairman of PPSMB, Rev Father Dr Hillary Mgbodili, The commissioner of Education (represented) and so many dignitaries that came with the speaker, and others.
Aside unveiling of these trophies, the speaker also in this event unveiled the physical and health education textbooks written by Mazi Okoronkwo and handed them over for use in Enugu state secondary school to the commissioner of Education (represented)
The Hon speaker ENHA Rt Hon Uche C. Ugwu made donation of 600 text books which Author is The Co ordinator of Speaker Boxing Project Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo to Ministry of Education
The Books donated are Physical and Health Education text books for Upper Basic 1 to 3 ( Junior Secondary School students) and Basic Science and Technology text books .
The Hon Speaker ENHA.Rt Hon Uche C Ugwu handed over the books to Ministry of Education to be shared freely to students according.
The books is meant to be distributed through post Primary Schools and management Board,. Science and Technical Schools management Board and Private Schools management association.
The Books is in line with Nigerian Educational, Research and Development Council ( NERDC) Uniform curriculum for Universal Basic Education Standard, and will go a long way in removing the invisible curtains to knowing and practicing Physical and Health Education and Basic Science and technology in General among Nigerians.
Before the donation. Two of the Children of Sports Ambassador Mazi Comr Ikechukwu Okoronkwo which included A microbiologist (BSC) Miss Amirah Okoronkwo reviewed the BS& T text books to the applaud of the audience while South Eastern State of Nigeria West Africa Bantam Weight Boxing Champion Zoe Okoronkwo whom is also a Law Student Reviewed the Physical and Health Education to the Joyful mood of the audience.

The Chairman of Post Primary Schools Management Board ( PPSMB) and His Management Team Commended the Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly Rt Hon Uche Ugwu for the Donation of Books to be shared Freely to Students.
Also the Director in Charge of Schools whom represented The Hon Commissioner of Education received the Books to be shared freely to Students with Joy.
Expect the grassroot boxing talent hunt championship next month as the students who were discovered in the grassroot boxing talent hunt exercise displayed a little of their skills to the honorable speaker Enugu state house of assembly.
Unveiling of 7th Edition of Speaker Enugu State House of Assembly grass root boxing state finals at Parliament Hall PPSMB ended in Praise.
