Some teachers in the U.S. are reportedly writing their wills as they prepare to return to their classrooms amid the pandemic, some without guidelines for social distancing and masks. “How horrible is it that one of the things on the list to do is to have a plan for students and teachers dying?” said Denise Bradford, a teacher in Orange County, California.
With no plan from the Trump administration regarding the safe reopening of schools, decisions have mostly been left to school districts, with some guidance from state officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Heading into the new school year, many teachers are worried about their exposure to Coronavirus and how it could affect their families and students.
