Anambra CP Advocates Community Partnership to Strengthen Security at Anaocha Security Summit

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, has reiterated his commitment to enhancing public safety through strengthened collaboration between law enforcement and the commumity.

This was emphasized during his address at the Anaocha Local Government Stakeholders Forum’s Security Summit held on January 7, 2025, at the Swiss Hotel, Agulu.

Themed “Repositioning Security Architectural System in Anaocha,” the summit highlighted the importance of trust-building and cooperation between security agencies and local communities.

In a press release by the Police Public Relations officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga said that the CP noted that such collaboration is essential for identifying and addressing security concerns effectively, preventing crime, and fostering a safer environment for residents.

According to DSP Ikenga , the event attracted notable stakeholders, including the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Rome Ibekwe; the representative of the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi (Rtd); HRM Igwe Christopher Okpala, Chairman of the Anaocha Traditional Council; Presidents General of the 10 towns in Anaocha LGA, and other distinguished personalities.

In his remarks, CP Itam emphasized that security is a shared responsibility and called on all stakeholders to actively participate in creating a safer Anambra State.

CP Itam also said that the summit served as a platform for dialogue and strategic planning, demonstrating the Anambra State Police Command’s dedication to proactive measures in ensuring public safety.
